Molasses is a by-product of sugar which is produced in the process of sugar manufacturing. The yield of molasses per ton of sugarcane varies between 4% to 5%. Molasses is also used as raw material for producing Extra Neutral Alcohol, Rectified Spirit etc.


Bagasse is obtained from the residue of sugarcane after crushing. Bagasse is used as fuel for the sugar mills. It is used in boiler in order to produce steam, with which power is generated. It is also used as raw material of paper and also used for cattle feed.


This is obtained after filtration of juice. It is mixed with spent wash and used as fertilizer. It is also know as oliver cake or press cake.
